Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Sphinx springing left; behind neck, T above Θ. Rev. Φ-A/P-Σ Thessalian cavalryman riding horse prancing to right, wearing petasos, chlamys and chiton, and brandishing a lagobolon with his right hand. BCD Thessaly II 645 (same obverse die). HGC 4, 626. Lavva 144 (V68/R84). A rare variety. Harshly cleaned and with minor marks, otherwise, nearly very fine.
